Bob Macauley AmeriCares Free Clinic of Norwalk Adds Tuesday Evening Hours
CONTACT: Donna Porstner In an effort to better serve the uninsured in Norwalk and the surrounding area, the Bob Macauley AmeriCares Free Clinic of Norwalk is adding a Tuesday evening session from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. starting July 19. The new hours will improve access to health care for qualifying low-income area residents without health insurance. Patients receive comprehensive care including medications, lab work and diagnostic testing all at no cost. With the new session, the program is expected to provide an additional 600 patient visits a year. Since its opening in 1994, the clinic, located at 98 South Main St., has provided more than $11 million worth of medical services to the uninsured in Norwalk and surrounding towns.
