The Music of Mozart Supports the AmeriCares Free Clinics

STAMFORD, CT December 28, 2006 -The Ridgefield Symphony Orchestra is holding a "Marvelous Mozart" event to benefit the AmeriCares Free Clinics.

On Sunday, January 7, the Ridgefield Symphony Orchestra will be performing three compositions including Mozart's Abduction from the Seraglio, the first major German comic opera; The Piano Concerto No. 21 in C, his famous slow movement piece; and Symphony No. 39 in E Flat, one of Mozart's final symphonies.  The performance will be held at the First Presbyterian Church of New Canaan located at 178 Oenoke Ridge Road in New Canaan, CT.

The concert begins at 4pm, general admission is $35.  For Mozart aficionados, an exclusive "tea and symphony" pre-concert event will be held at 2:30pm, where Maestro Anthony Newman will share program notes. Tickets for the reception are $50 and include reserved seating.  Raffle tickets will be sold for the opportunity to conduct a musical piece after the intermission.  All proceeds will benefit the AmeriCares Free Clinics.
